Kohler Basins

Kohler Company started out in 1873 as a farm implement manufacturer, but in 1883 it enameled over a hog scalder/feeder and sold it as a bathtub, and Kohler’s destiny was set. By 1887, 70 percent of its business was in plumbing fixtures. Today, Kohler is headquartered in Kohler Wisconsin and considered one of the largest and oldest privately held companies in the United States. It sells its plumbing fixtures to commercial, residential, and industrial customers.

Kohler Basins has a wide range of basins that will enhance any interior design in a bathroom or kitchen. Kohler offers 178 different types of basins that are available in a variety of colors. If a customer can’t find the right style or color, Kohler will design a sink to order. Kohler basins are trend setters for the industry because Kohler has innovating style and craftsmanship. Consumers who are looking for quality products that are high on style and durability choose Kohler basins.

Some Kohler’s primary competitors in the basin market are American Standard Companies, Gerber Plumbing Fixtures, and Moen.

Kohler makes a wide range of other plumbing fixtures such as bathtubs, faucets, showers, and toilets. They also sell small engines, generators, and furniture, in addition to tile and stone.

Kohler designs, manufactures, and markets its own products. This gives them an advantage of being more receptive to its customers’ demands and needs. Because of listening to customers, no longer are basins made out of the same old mold or do they all look the same. Basins can be shaped like vessels, be attached to walls, or be free standing. Basins no longer are just made out enameled cast iron. They can be made of stone, china, glass, and even wood. Kohler offers videos that can help customers find the basin shape that fits their style and their needs.
